Add colors to your plate with healthy & colorful dishes this Holi

For a colorful and tasteful festival like Holi, it also expected for the food to be colorful too. To celebrate Holi in healthy way keeping the precautions of Pandemic in mind, you need to plan some colorful Holi recipes that are different than the typical lot. And here Glen helps you as we have given the usual Holi delicacies a modern, healthy & colorful twist.

It is indeed a Happy & Safe Holi if you celebrate it with lots of food and colors. And the festival is even happier if you take care of your health while devouring on Holi treats.

We have brought you two healthy & colorful dishes that you can try:

Haryaali Paneer Tikka in Tandoor:

Paneer tikka is a go to snack for any festival or get together. It is enjoyed by people of all ages. We have given a colorful twist to paneer tikka for Holi.

Ingredients: 400 gm paneer, ½ teaspoon Chat masala, 30 gm Butter

For the marinade: 150 gm Curd, Salt to taste, 15 ml Mustard oil

½ teaspoon each Red chilli powder, Kasoori methi, White pepper

¼ teaspoon Ajwain seeds, 1 teaspoon Ginger garlic paste

For the green chutney: 3 Green chillies, 2 sprigs Mint, ½ bunch Coriander leaves, 4 cloves Garlic, ½” Ginger

Preparation: Cut the paneer into 1 inch squares. Mix green chutney with marinade ingredients. Check seasoning for taste & adjust if required. Dip paneer pieces in the mixture and set aside for ½ hour.Skewer marinated pieces and cook in the preheated Glen tandoor. When done evenly, remove paneer into pan and toss gently with melted, warm butter. Sprinkle chat masala & serve.

Dahi Bhalle with red & green chutney

With perfect blend of curd & spices, dahi bhalle is a favorite of every household. Served with green & sweet tamarind chutney, this recipe is sure to win hearts of your guests.

Soak the white urad dal overnight or for a minimum of 5 – 6 hours. Drain the excess water and grind in Glen 4022 mixer grinder with green chillies, ginger and salt to a smooth paste.

Beat the batter with spatula for fluffy bhalle. Heat oil for deep frying in a kadai, make small round-shaped and drop them into the oil one by one. Ensure that the flame is low. Fry them till golden brown.

In a deep bowl, fill water and dip the fried bhalle for about 2-4 mins, then squeeze the excess water & keep aside.

Arrange four bhalla in a plate and add sufficient yogurt to cover them. Then drizzle green and red chutney on top. Sprinkle some roasted cumin powder and serve.
