good but water tastes like plastic

In fact,the overall quality rating is very poor because of misleading information, poor design of product,below average workmanship, unprofessional customer support.
Although the look of glass kettle is attractive but very flimsy & poorly designed. At the outset when the lid is opened, it doesn't stay open which is regularly required to fill water & it keeps falling down.
The complaint in this regard was taken very casually that this isn't an issue ( that's way,it works,you have to keep it open with one hand & fill from other hand).This is certainly not acceptable & very unprofessional.
With quite follow up, it was replaced with new one with complete assurance about quality.
The lid was OK but the filter mesh, (which needs to be removed and fixed every time it needs cleaning) was not fixed properly. A technician was deployed to attend this defect with great follow-up. The problem could not be resolved by technician as he tried to set it right,the mesh could not be pulled out or pushed in as the lug ( due to its poor design) was broken. Hence purpose of regularly cleaning was totally impossible. The technician/ customer support staff suggested to take it out completely and manage without it.Again it was no way acceptable & quite unprofessional way .
Not to forget the glaring misleading information in the brochure regarding cleaning with vinegar (amount too much in lieu of 1 to 2 spoons)due to flakes deposit at the bottom of kettle. This seems to be a mistake & needs to be corrected immediately before despatch of further orders by the company.
As the defect remained unresolved, the kettle was returned and amount refunded.

It’s a good product. You can see through so you can clean it properly.
