Name- Raj Tangariya
o Age- 09 years
o State: Uttrakhand
o School: Himalayan central school, Bageshwar
This story is about a 3rd class student who is benefitting from Project Butterfly. Raj has always liked his school (Himalayan central school) and never wanted to change the school. After his father’s demise when the economic conditions were not favorable the mere thought of change of school would shatter Raj but thankfully Project butterfly came as a savior and saved him from another shock.
After his father’s demise Raj would not speak to many nor participate in programs. But with constant follow ups and sessions, Raj is now participating in several competition in school, also taking advance classes and studying long hours. He also participated in various programs during summer and autumn break.
Raj makes sure he works hard to be able to make his mother proud. Raj’s message to the project team, “Every Rupee on my scholarship is worth spending, will never let you down”.
We are good to see how confident Raj is becoming and wish him all the best!
